Thank you for visiting our site.

This website has been designed to provide you with easy access to pages of information about The Friends of Woking Community Hospital, our relationship with the Hospital, details of the Hospital services and information about how you can become a Friend, simply make a donation or even include us by way of a gift in your will.

There were over 100,000 recorded patient visits to the Community Hospital last year but there are only 300 Friends. Part of the current mission of The Friends is to close that gap and to use the additional subscription income to provide further and greater support for this fine Hospital.

Chris Jackson Jones and colleagues from ING Bank support The Friends

Chris and the ING Runners Chris Jackson Jones' father spent some time last year in the Bradley Neuro Rehabilitation Unit at Woking Community Hospital following a severe stroke. So pleased were Chris and his family at his Father's progress and with the outsanding support from the doctors and Nurses in Bradley, that Chris decided to run his first ever marathon in London on 17 April.

Chris and a team of colleagues from ING Bank raised £27000 for 9 different charities. Their employer Ing doubled the money raised so we, at the Friends were delighted to receive a cheque for £6000. That makes it probably the single biggest donation for the benefit of the Community Hospital. Your committee reviewed the Hosptal's wish list of items for patient comfort and decided to provide money for new digital TVs to be bought for Bradley Ward as well as funding a refurbished bathroom with special facilities designed for patients undergoing rehabilitation in that ward.
